How to warm a Finnish house – insulating material Ekovilla
After searching modern insulating technologies our company chose insulant Ekovilla. What is EKOVILLA? EKOVILLA is the woodfiber insulant made from hypo allergic repeated paper raw materials. It has advantages as compared to other insulants.
There are a lot of modern technologies to warm a house, but which one to choose? How to warm a Finnish house?
We chose the best one – insulating material Ekovilla.
Ekovilla is the wood-fiber insulant. It is made from hypo allergic repeated paper raw materials. It has advantages as compared to other insulants.
Advantages of Ekovilla
Ekovilla is the insulating material that is applied on area by sputtering and that has the high level of the heat insulation, in Finland it is 0,041 W/mK.
As is well known in the best way the heat is kept in the air. The fibers of cellulose have a weak structure filled with air so it has very good heat-insulating features.
Adaptability to mounting manufacture
Ekovilla is sprayed directly on object. Because of that Ekovilla easily distribute to area and gets even into the smallest cavities. It removes the appearance of the rough joints, omissions and bed roughness. The usage of modern blow molding machine allows to do work to a good quality and fast.
All those features set Ekovilla apart from other the insulating materials that are used in slabs and rolls.
Ekovilla includes boron compounds that are destructive for fungus and prevent the decay.
A boric acid is a strong antiseptic. It protects area and all construction from spread of fungus and decay. Also it protects from insects and rodents.
Ekovilla is a material that “breathes”. It keeps balance between the temperature and humidity of the construction and it doesn’t need extra waterproofing.
Even the humidity boost ad 20 % doesn’t influence on Ekovilla capability to retain properties. It is explained by the wicking properties of cellulose of which Ekovilla is made.
If the humidity grows, capillary fibers take up the superfluous moisture and then expulse it outside. It keeps a house from condensate. The houses warmed with Ekovilla “breathe” as the wooden houses. That’s why that kind of houses doesn’t need extra vapor barrier.
Ekovilla is remarkable for inflaming resistance. Contained in Ekovilla antipyrene adds the good fire-fighting properties to material. Ekovilla doesn’t inflame and doesn’t melt, but only molder and fume a little.
No-shrink condition and durability
The construction with the insulant Ekovilla passed the oscillating test. It showed that there is almost no shrinkage. And it is one of the most important properties of Ekovilla. Early cellulose insulation had those properties. Framed houses made with the cellulose insulation at the beginning of the last century are used till now.
Ekovilla has good soundproofing properties. Those properties have been tested and proved in practice. The rooms insulated by Ekovilla defended against sound two times better than the rooms insulated by mineral wool slabs.
Ekovilla is made from a waste paper and it is harmless for environment and for people. Natural cellulose fibers and boron compounds are not volatile.
Ekovilla allows saving money:
- lower price;
- lower delivery cost;
- no wastes after mounting;
Ekovilla is used successfully:
- heat insulation of habitable rooms;
- heat insulation of farming construction and industrial buildings
- extra heat insulation of stone and wooden walls
- sound and heat insulation of engineering and utility services rooms: storehouse, hangar, garage etc.;
- heat insulation of earlier made construction without dismounting;
- strengthening of the sound proofing.
The use of Ekovilla can change your vision of comfort. You can feel the warmth at winter and coolness at summer. You will feel pacification and peace in a children's room, when noises will not disturb a sleeping child.
- 81 % natural cellulose fibers (recycled news-print);
- 12 % antipyrene;
- 8 % boric acid (antiseptic)ю
